This spring, I worked under the Public Programs and Engagement team at the Metropolitan Museum of Art where I led research on how to enhance audience engagement for the Met's public education programs to inform future programming. Additionally, I coordinated with set-ups and logistics for large events, assist with the execution of MetSpeaks.
I feel incredibly lucky to continue working with such wonderful and talented team this coming summer. I will focus on streamlining user experience and expanding the impact of public programs.

Research and Design in Museum
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to engage in research and design within the museum context. I came into this spring hoping to deepen my understanding in museum visioning, programming for large audiences, and enhancing the visitor experience—all of which were achieved as expected.
My growth was significant as I began conducting research with a real and sizable crowd, communicated with people from various roles about my designed survey questions and card designs, and especially when I printed these materials and distributed them to visitors. This experience underscored a crucial realization: interacting directly with my users and audience is not only exciting and challenging but also holds a promising, sustainable future for my career.
Dive deep into Experience Strategy
I've learned the importance of understanding an exhibition's background before planning any related programs, research or designs. Previously, my focus was primarily on using emerging techniques and crafting great user experiences during their visit. However, my time at the Met has been incredibly inspiring, teaching me to start with content design. It emphasized the necessity of grounding my work in the original motivations of the exhibition, the context of the artworks, and what the artists intended to communicate to the audience. This approach has enriched my perspective and enhanced the way I engage with museum programming.
